3rd. Charlie's voice/speech bubbles.

The shakiness of Charlie's speech bubbles ties into what had happened previously with the Inner Peace (Through Superior Firepower) storyline Jillian and Wanda had. Since we know Charlie was poisoned with the flower and there are very few actual means of being cured of it (as Wanda and Jillian were apparently here: http://archives.erfworld.com/Book%200/81). Note that it was left "open-ended" intentionally. This all ties together, I think. I don't think Charlie's need of Lilith has anything to do with helping his flower problem.

I hadn't read that page in a while, thank you. Have a shmucker. That's huge! In a link with a healomancer Charlie was able to remove not only the bud addiction but anything else they wanted to. Perhaps Fifinella has some healomancy and their idea is to remove the connection and all knowledge of the arkenpliers entirely!

Wanda placed the flower back in her hair. “Although he succumbed to some of the effects of her magic, the defendant‘s father ultimately resisted her control. So she attempted to croak him instead, giving him poison in place of his usual elixirs. He survived by means of Carnymancy, buying back his life at a terrible cost.

Seems likely that the terrible cost was his physical health and now he's confined to a magic critical care facility. The exact magical mechanics of how he survived are up for debate but I'll take bets the above is true.
Hopefully this whole thing ties into the mystery that we were given early in Book 3 when Charlie is talking in terms of carrots and sticks about the truce with Gobwin Knob and Faq and all.

What in the heck is more important to Charlie than dealing with Gobwin Knob? Why couldn't he just spare a strike force of Archons (Charlescomm is startlingly close to GK), to wipe Stanley off the board at any given time. If he did it early in Book 2, he wouldn't have even had to worry about a free Parson in the Magic Kingdom, he could have just swooped in, killed Stanley, and left Parson frozen in the city.

He apparently has another game going. One that somehow involves Jillian being alive for it, and involves something more important than a Fate-guided missile in the form of Parson being aimed right at him.
Am I reading too much into the reveal of Charlie's red right hand?

Given the density of nods and references is Erfworld, it's hard to be sure ;)
To DunkelMentat,

Hey thanks! That is my very first schmucker!

Well the red hand is Fifinella's. We see in an earlier frame that one of the archons is wearing gloves of that color. Charlie's is the grey hand. I guess if she is his right hand 'man' it could still be an applied version of the same phrase.

EDIT: And we know exactly why Charlie is grey. Well not the details, but we have an explanation in terms of trauma and decay causing a grey pallor from Digdoug's conversation with Dove.

EDIT 2: Welcome to the forum CDCA!

4th. Charlie being a Carnymancer.

This was clearly stated in the Inner Peace (Through Superior Firepower) storyline here: http://archives.erfworld.com/Book+0/81. Sounding like a Dittomancer for one single screen doesn't mean much, I think, except to be a red herring or to give us an idea that he may employ a dittomancer.

I don't think it was being suggested by anyone that Charlie wasn't a Carny, just that he could be casting Dittomancy.

Wanda is a Croakamancer, but can cast in a number of other disciplines. She's even a Novice Thinkamancer. It's strongly implied she picked up bits and pieces outside her discipline from all the link-ups she did at Haffaton.

Charlie is known for doing lots of link-ups using the dish, is about as old as any unit on Erfworld we've heard of, and is about as think-outside-the-box as any unit on Erfworld we've heard of. If he doesn't know how to cast outside his discipline, I'd be frankly amazed.

Given all that, it doesn't seem outside the realm of possibility that when he repeated his words like a Dittomancy spell, that he might have been casting some Dittomancy.
We shouldn't be surprised by Charlie having a body, how could he dance a foxtrot without a body?

Okay, for serious. I'm studying the foxtrot right now and it's hard man. There's no way Charlie could handle it if he's as weak as we think he is. XD

Rhyme-o-mancy Mech Suit?

I just imagined FDR attempting and failing to dance in his leg braces. I'm going to hell. But, yes, that suit would be awesome.
