"Ahem so the only reason you came here is because you want me to heal this Maggie person ?"

"I came here because I don't want my friend to croak. I contacted you in the first place because I am serious about wanting peace with Jetstone."

"If you were serious about wanting peace, peace would have been the first issue you brought up and not this caster, it's clear to me that conserving your casters is vital to you and if you had a Healomancer of your own we wouldn't be having this conversation."

"And not because she's your communication hub and you'd be screwed without her? That's not a factor in it at all ?"

"We have enough alternate means of communication at our disposal that the loss of our Thinkamancer would not cripple our side. And no, I don't care to elaborate."

"I'm allied with Don King if you remember so I know first hand how superior Thinkamancy based communication is over all the other alternatives, and how much it can help in ruling a Side.

My interactions with Charlie and his history only drive the point home on the power of that discipline, so colour me unconvinced on these alternate means."

"By the way how did she get incapacitated, no one has launched a strike against Spacerock recently."

"We discovered that Charlie was intent on perversely and tortuously dissecting the still living mind of the Archon that you sold to him. We elected to attempt to rescue her, and Maggie was injured in the attempt. We may have been under truce at the time, but Charlie had already broken the spirit of the truce, if not the letter. Deal with us in good faith, and we shall deal in kind."

"I was there when Lilith decided to go into Charlie's hands, she knew her fate was sealed but chose to walk into the lion's den and deliver a benefit to both our treasuries.

Now what you're telling me is very interesting, your Maggie can influence a capitol hundreds of hexes away, and you want me to ensure you still have access to this capability.

You've assassinated my brother during a parley, I've saw you with my own eyes turn another parley into an opportunity to attack and now you come to negotiate while admitting to breaking yet another truce.

How am I to be sure if we do sign an agreement you won't again unilaterally decide I went against the 'spirit' of it and attack Jetstone? "

I like mine better.

I agree Parson wouldn't volunteer the assassinate Charlie stuff but I've written a few replies.
Maggie is on her way to a dying declaration of love.

So, what are the odds on Charlie jamming Lilith's thinkagram? 90%? 100%? More?

.... and the Knob's treasury starts to refill. Because that would be materially harming/interfering with the whole side.

Now, Charlie might be willing to take the treasury hit to just Dust Lilith, but I don't think he'll risk the possibility that his own contract might slap him for half a million schmuckers EACH TIME he prevents a thinkagram from getting through.

Not that that means anything in a world where you can be brought back as sapient dust particles.

I don't think so.

Because 1. She isn't conscious.

And 2. If she dies, Wanda just decrypts her.

They already have 2 decrypted casters. I don't think Rob is gonna go for 3.

To be honest I don't believe in my own words ;P but not for the reasons you mentioned. It's simple: the narrative needed the thinkamancer to be incapacitated, to raise the tension. The narrative doesn't need her to die.
We have the rand macguffins. She's fine.

You mean Chekhov's rands. And I'm not convinced that's what those will be used for. Now that Parson has violated neutrality, there are very few casters that would work for him.

To disband atoms, you have to have enough Juice to break their electron shells and nuclear strong force in their nuclei, which costs way too much Juice, and even then it releases like 10^26 damage points per kilogram disbanded.

If they're to cease to exist, that's one Hiroshima per gram.
This is both funny and nerve wracking...

I feel like a case could be made that given what Charlie was attempting to do in terms of cracking open Lilith, he might have violated the truce himself...but I would need to reread the terms so I'm not sure....

...asshole!
