I don't understand why Charlie is helping Jillian. I'd believe it would help him keep his secrets if Jillian and Faq were entirely wiped out. Is it because Faq's demise would benefit Parson in such a way that the danger for Charlie outweighs the gains?

Also, I think Ansom will jump at the opportunity to croak Jillian, but before he does it he will request to move her body to Spacerock so she can be decrypted. Then Stanley will dismiss his pledge, leading Ansom to ultimately refuse his orders and perhaps turn.

And if it was anybody else, I doubt he'd care. Might even make sure they had no encounters on the way to put her down.

But since it's the side with the ultimate croakamancy (and I wouldn't be shocked if he somehow found out the decrypted aren't bound by contracts anymore, his Archons might have already shown him that) he's got reasons to keep her alive. Plus she is actually pretty tough. Improves odds on killing Stanley, which he's also got a lot of reason for. Barbarian Parson has a lot less options then "on a still very powerful side" Parson.

... And so we're left with the hope that at least Stanley goes out with a Huge Bang. He's earned that much at least.
Weird - double post problems.

To everyone talking about calling Vanna by name to break the link ... Ansom, quickly joined by the rest of the prisoners, sings the following opportune tune:

Spoiler: show
Vanna, Vanna, bo-banna
Banana-fana fo-fanna
Fee-fi-mo--manna
Vanna!

Hmm.. an interesting idea.

If Wanda + thinkamancer means she can communicate with Ansom, I wonder if Wanda + think + think means she can communicate with all the decrypted in that hex at once? Say, a linkup with Wanda, Isaac and Maggie, doubly-amplifying the effects of the thinkamancy connection to the decrypted?

Not that it matters here, I think. Ansom's probably the only decrypted in that hex.
Ansom is NOT the only decrypted in hex, the megalo is full of them...

A Tri-Link would increase risk to all casters, with uncertain benefits, unless they could rise up and stack. And the risk could easily be if one decrypted pops or gets turned, that could backfire the entire link.

It does look that way. Earlier, however, Jillian was croaking decrypted and capturing the living so we don't know if she changed tactics or there's a problem with the art.

You know... I never put two and two together. Suddenly Stanley finding all those dragons makes a lot more sense. I knew it had to have been Charlie but I only just now realized why.

There were some extensive discussions of this recently, starting around here:

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=6928&start=180#p119312
I believe we also discussed it back when the "Deal of a Lifetime" was first revealed that it provided the perfect explanation for why Charlie would help Stanley like that AND why it was done in such an indirect way without GK owing Stanley a favour or anything like that.

It is almost certainly also related either to the assassination of King Saline (Charlie trying to clean up all the evidence once and for all by ending the side that just captured some Faq casters) or the disappearance of the gobwins (the Luckamancy numbers regarding those dragons popping had to come from somewhere) or both.
To all this talk of Jillian getting the hammer...

I do not think that Jillian will attune to the hammer, but rather the shoes eventually (I mean she looked at them with some serious jealousy when she found out what they do for move). Mostly I think this because of her reaction to the shoes and the potential she saw in them, but also, I do not think she would LIKE the hammer. Firstly, she really likes Three-Edged. Secondly, she really likes Megalos. I just do not see her getting the hammer because she wouldn't like it cruising with dwagons and a hammer nearly as much.

Probably changed tactics, the livery was shown a lot, so it can't just be a drawing mistake. Also, from the short talk she had with Ansom about this, it'd be perfectly reasonable to assume she changed tactics.
